Cross posted Rainbow Family tribe

Howdy Folks Oregon!!!
topic posted Yesterday 8/9/07, 5:39 PM by evilive

We humbly invite all those who have the desire to join us in a celebration of the lives of our ancestors, and in our sacred tradition of assembling together in prayer, worship, ceremony, music and dance.

Where: At Indian Prairie in the Ochoco National Forest north east of Prineville. Directions
will be posted at a later date.
When: September 11, 2007 till September 23, 2007
Who: All peoples, all tribes.
Contact: Raven or Summer Breeze, 240-863-6250, email
angelonmyshoulder77@yahoo.com or write to 720 West Benton, Pocatello,
Idaho 83204

That sacred mountain calls to us to return once again. I have heard the call for a couple years now and can no longer ignore the urgency with which I feel drawn to the Ochoco Mountains. The universe has a way of confirming the unspoken messages that humanity receives. Today, the District Ranger Art from the Ochoco National Forest, told me that this place needs the rainbow rain dancing. Art wants us to come and rain dance in the Ochoco Forest because it desperately needs the rain. Art says his rain dancing is not working. What are we waiting for? I am praying for rain there even now. Spread the vibe.

May the prayers for peace on earth and among the children of men continue throughout the year. God knows how much prayer is needed for humanity every moment of our existence.

I really appreciate all that each one who gathers does to make these assemblies possible. Let all rainbow warriors continue to expand the circle of light.

Let the medicine wheel continue to expand until it embraces the entire earth. Come to Ochoco, ancient sacred land of willow this September, celebrate the solstice in sacred ceremony. Prepare for sacred lodge at the Four Corners in the spring, then on to Wyoming and Wounded Knee. Call a praying circle, call a sacred assembly in every state in every month of the year and in every country around this world. Surrender to the Spirit of the One Who is Love.

When you are all done in New Mexico and Colorado, and where ever you are going in between, come join us in the Ochoco National Forest next month for a memorial tribute and prayer assembly. The chosen gathering dates are September 11 till September 23rd....13 days....beginning on 9-11 with a memorial in our hearts for those who died in New York.and Pennsylvania...the 23rd hour love tour and in memorial of Elijah's birth in 1998, who has been in government captiviity since his eleventh day of life...and the sacred number 13 in the Mayan calendar. This is in honor of Shanti Sena Woodstock Luke Skywalker, Front Gate Luke, one of my dearest friends...and in honor and memory of my brother Joseph Greenfeather, all our loved ones who passed to the Spirit in the sky. May we all dance together.

Lovin you family.

NO PERMIT

Demand an alternative means of compliance with use of a traditional operating plan as provided for in the regulations!

-----
LOVE AND LIGHT

evi

Peace Everyone! Lost One.

The Inescapable Vibrating Quartz Crystals

During WWII the gubmint of these here very fine United States did indeed have cause to operate one very secretive and mostly hush hush kinda mining operation in the southern part of California. It's called the Pacifica Silica Quarry and produced some enormous quartz points essential to some top secret program absolutely vital to America's war effort. Now although the crystals there were sought for their vibratory abilities please don't assume that they possessed any particular "vibratrional energies".
As I stated they were quartz crystals. Big ol' gigantical momma honkin' jammies indeed, but good ol' SiO2 none the less. Different in size only from most any crystal you might spy on the key chain of your typical middle aged "I was at Woodstock" lady.
So "why" you may wonder, "were these crystals so sought after by the arsenal of democracy?" How was it that the fate of the entire free world hinged upon the contribution of these remarkable geological specimens?
For the answer to that we need to examine that curios ability of quartz to convert energy from one form to another. You see, our friend the humble quartz crystal is enslaved all around us doing the bidding of its Babylonian masters faithfully and without hesitation or complaint.
When one applies physical force to a quartz crystal some of the energy is converted into an electrical current. The piezoelectric effect. Conversely, applying an electromagnetic field to a crystal will cause it to vibrate, and vibrate at an extraordinarily steady and predictable frequency to boot. That vibration by the way is an expression of mechanical energy.
The battery in a quartz watch energizes a tiny micro crystal whose steady vibrations keep perfect time for millennia. The silicon wafer chip in your computer is an extraordinarily cleverly engineered synthetic quartz crystal whose structure facilitates it assuming myriad on/off positions within its molecular crystalline latticework.
Oh, and the giant crystals from the Pacifica Silica Quarry? They were deployed in ships and submarines to locate and destroy other ships and submarines. They were installed in the hull with an enormous electromagnetic coil around the crystal. When the coil was jolted with power the crystal would vibrate. PING!!!!!PING!!!!!PING!!!!! Sonar operators could then echolocate the enemy vessels by the return signals and blow them into naval jelly.
See? Crystals really do have some practical uses and they're not just a bunch of meta-
physical healy-feely flapdoodle after all. I'll just hang on to my collection and see what else evolves.

Hey all. I'm new to the hunting aspect of crystals, and am interested in developing some insight.
I live in Seattle Wa, and ride a bicycle everywhere --no car. I'm looking for places to begin searching
and/or a crew to go with. I already know about Bob Jackson (thanks Lars), and intend on contacting him...
I'm mostly a student though, and may not be able to afford Bob's classes.
If anyone is going 'hunting' in the next few months, write me, get to know me, and bring me with you! :)
Peace.

dig the best amethyst in the world

Hello beautiful people!!! This is a post to let everyone know about the mine because everyone is asking to come dig. We are going to do our best to have everything ready by May, this mine is producing what has been concidered by many, including two of the worlds most well known quartz scientists as the "best amethyst deposit in the world" there have been several articles in major magazines in the last couple of years, the Mineralogical Record Nov/Dec issue of '05 and it was also featured on the Travel Channel's "Cash & Treasures". For those who do not know, the mine is in Northern Georgia just do a web search on the Jackson's Crossroads Amethyst Mine. Please pass the word and be sure to send an email to diggerledford@yahoo.com to get a notification email as soon as we release the date of opening. Here's the official letter to send out to email lists etc. Much Love to ALL!!!

Hello Everyone,
It is official, the Jackson's Crossroads Amethyst Mine will be open to the public. We are currently working on the property to have it open to the public for people to pay to dig their own amethyst. We hopefully will have it open by the end of April so people can come dig their own crystals for a standard fee (group discounts and fees are available). Standard "Dump digging" will be $20 or $25 a day. The exact date the mine will be opening hasn't been set yet but if you are interested in coming down and digging please to send an email to diggerledford@yahoo.com and you will get an email notification as soon as we are ready to open and begin scheduling.
It is very important for anyone who wishes to be put on the schedule to send an email to this address and write in the subject line: "JXR List". Everyone who sends an email with "JXR List" in the subject line will be put on an email list and notified when the mine is open, after the first notification of opening we will use the same email list to begin scheduling. The email list is going to be the main medium used to organize and schedule the fee digging operation.
Christopher Ryan is going to be dealing with scheduling so please do not call Terry regarding scheduling. If you have any questions please feel free to send the question to the same email address and we will try to answer you within 72 hrs. We are excited to be able to keep this awesome mine open to the public and we can't wait to see you there!!!

Thank You,
The Jackson's Crossroads Mining Team

Hey there! just joined, nice bunch of people gathered here it seems.

Ok, so im just gonna throw it out to this community because you seem like the kind of folk in the know about these things.

I have been reading Michael Katz book Gemstone Gardians....blah, and have found the information quite interesting. Ive had a little practice with crystals before and am attuned to reiki so the idea of spherical stones makes perfect sence to me, always attracting and simultaneously projecting, balanced and incredibly potent energy. Just like all the planets... but I digress..

Im after a optical quality quartz sphere, about 2-3" inch, totaly clear and (if I could just get the genie on my side - a lemurian quartz) it would be nice to find one under a couple of hunred bucks. Gemisphere has none at the moment, So far ive not turned up much and ive been led to post intent in other ways. So here I am. Anyhow if you know of any leads, sites, or people I could contact that sell genuine quartz, clean, and good quality spheres i'd be very greatful.

All the best for 07, stop by and say Hi if you like anytime. Nick.

Looking for crystals...please HELP!!!

Hello there everyone. I am a wire wrapper and I am trying to get some small wrappables. Does anyone in this tribe dig out small and beautiful crystals that I can buy??? I normally buy from wherever I am, but I would really like to get some materials from the source. I know what they are worth, but some people just dig them out and feel that they can charge up the ass for it. This makes my sick. It's not like these people are gardeners tending to crops, they are just in the right place at the right time and feel that they can rip people off. I used to buy wholesale and sell at festivals and on tour and I love doing that. Most of the time I would sell it at the cheapest. Some times I would just come close enough to make my money back. Everyone always came to me to buy thinking I was getting ripped off, but I was just spreading the love around as close to cost as possible, but now I am wrapping crystals in jewelry, and even then I am selling them at super reasonable prices. I just want some crystals to wrap. I want to enhance Mother Earth's art. I want to make it available to everyone. So if anyone in here can help me, or know of anyone who can help me, let me know. I will even wrap whoever helps a phatty wrap at no charge. Let's bring it back to what it really is. Let's remind everyone about why we are into crystals. It's not about the money, it's about the beauty, love and respect.

Sincerly,

Mathew

P.S. I am sorry if that went on for too long, but it is how I feel on the matter.

Hiddenite & the World Heart Meditation

Dear Friends,
Thank you for such an amazing tribe!!! I am Christopher Ryan. I currently reside in Boulder. I am looking for people who work with crystals, gems, and minerals to network the information on a global meditation with a stone I have been mining back in NC. Does anyone know of Hiddenite? True Hiddenite from Alexander Co, NC? It is one of the rarest minerals in the world and debateably the rarest. I have a strong passion for getting this powerful stone out there. Here's what I have written so far on Hiddenite, the Master Stone of the Heart. I am excited to connect with you all!!! Crystallize/Christ All Eyes....
From the Heart,
Christopher Ryan

True Hiddenite from Alexander Co, NC

INDEX OF REFRACTION: 1.66
BIREFRINGENCE: weak
HARDNESS: 6.5
CLEAVAGE: is perfect in two directions
CRYSTAL SYSTEM: mono clinic

Discovered By William Earl Hidden in 1879

Hiddenite is the green gem variety of the mineral spodumene. Spodumene
is a common mineral, but transparent gem forms occur in only a few select localities. One gem form is the pink kunzite, and another is green Hiddenite. Very few people know that True Hiddenite even exists.

Hiddenite is named after W.E. Hidden, who discovered this new gemstone in Alexander County, North Carolina in 1879. The town where this gem was found was subsequently given the name "Hiddenite".
Green Hiddenite, to date, is only found in the one locality where it was originally discovered. Although additional localities containing transparent, green spodumene were found, none match the exceptional, unique green of the hiddenite from Alexander County, North Carolina.
The green spodumenes from other localities are not gemologically accepted as True Hiddenite, for they all lack the unique green color of
True Hiddenite, being only very light green or greenish-yellow.
Recently, gem dealers have been using the name hiddenite for all green
transparent green spodumenes, even those not found in Alexander County, North Carolina. The amazing emerald green color of True Hiddenite is created by the presence of chrome/chromium. Chrome stabilizes the color of Hiddenite. Unlike other green spodumenes, Hiddenite will not lose it's color when exposed to the sun for any amount of time.

ALCHEMY of HIDDENITE

Chakras: Heart

Core Resonance: Sacred Space Within the Heart, the Holy of Holies, Heart Intelligence, True Feeling, Left & Right Brain Synchrony, Heart Matrix of Creation, Christ Grid, Heart of Gaia, The Divine Heartbeat of the Femenine

Key Energies Element: Water

Healing Properties: Reawakening heartfelt communication within relationships, Love of Self, clarity of personal relationships, connecting to the planetary heart & Christ grid, understanding the significance of the heart's connection to water, balance within romantic relationships, healing the physical heart, healing the energetic heart, understanding Love as perceived and shared in higher states of being/awareness.

Hiddenite is the master stone of the Heart. The primary frequency and core resonance of Hiddenite is the energy of Love and Unity.

This rare stone has a myriad of uses and healing properties. The times in which we live in and the emergence of Hiddenite within this time is key to understanding the signifigance of this stone. The universe has brought forth this stone, at this time when we most need it, to assist in awakening the World Heart which will create the space for our transition into the New Age to be a smooth one.

Carrying and/or wearing Hiddenite gives one a physical object to focus on and by intention opens the heart to ground pure Heart Intelligence. Inner Guidance has shown me that Hiddenite is the physical manifestation of the One Heart, the crystalline structure from which the Universal Heart can be experienced and expressed.

Hiddenite is the master stone known to help one stay centered in, and express Heart energy. Hiddenite harmonizes the right and the left hemispheres in the brain to create a unified perception in the minds and hearts of those who carry or wear it. It helps one gain access to the pineal gland through the synchronization of the left and right hemispheres. (The pineal gland is the physical “third eye” which rests in the center of the head and acts as bridge between the left and right hemispheres of the brain allowing both hemispheres to communicate). Once focused within the pineal gland one can easily find the path to the heart from the mind and to the mind from the heart. One of the main lessons in this time is to balance the hemispheres of the brain so one will no longer have the “inner conflict” between thoughts and emotions. Once balanced and synchronized the mind steps aside and allows pure energy, pure feeling to be received and expressed through the heart. Science and spirituality find union within the human experience as the heart and mind become one.

Hiddenite enhances the ability to “tap into” the “Pulse of the Divine Heartbeat”. When wearing or carrying Hiddenite the “Divine Heartbeat” is realized as the prime energy of the Self. As long as one wears or carries Hiddenite the pulse is present within every breath and creates a field of protection and works well for filtering negative energies.

By helping balance the brain, Hiddenite helps one gain access to "Heart of Hearts", the most sacred space within the human experience. This sacred space is where everything is created, where we all began our creative process and birthed ourselves into this reality. This space has played a major role in esoteric-spiritual thought of all major religions and many mystery schools throughout the ages. (Drunvalo Melchizedek has written a book, "Living in the Heart", that goes into great detail about the heart space and gives exercises and techniques on how to gain access to this sacred space.)

Hiddenite resonates with the toroidal geometric field of the physical heart of the human body and assists one to activate "Heart Intelligence" from that space. Heart Intelligence helps one understand reality in a unified, non-dualistic perception, and the vibration of Love as it is perceived & shared on higher dimensions. As the mind finds peace the heart beat is once again remembered as the one pulse in the center of creation, of which we are all intricately connected.

Hiddenite is the Master Stone of the Heart which will help humanity realize (use their Real Eyes) their true potential and role of awakening the Universal Heart on Earth.

Hiddenite is building a grid &/or network of hearts of those who have experienced it's amazing energy. Melchizedek calls this grid the “Hidden Heart Grid.” The more people wear Hiddenite the stronger the web seems to get. In the not so far future those who have a piece of Hiddenite will be invited to be part of the "Hidden Heart Meditation”, something that is still revealing itself as more people become familiar with and link their hearts to the "Master Stone”. If and when you do attain a piece of this stone please e-mail
merkabaom@gmail.com to be put on the "Hidden Heart Grid" e-mail list and you will be notified of new discoveries on this stone as well as details on the world meditation.
From the Heart,
Crystallize/Christ All Eyes, Christopher Ryan
**note on Heart Intelligence: The heart has a small brain within it that consists of about 40,000 cells. In the embryo the heart forms before any other organs and begins to beat before the brain is even formed. Consciousness begins in the heart and there have been major studies in mainstream science exploring this vital piece of information.

Robert Simmons writes in the "Book of Stones": "Those who are ready to reclaim their ability to Love with their whole hearts are recommended to carry or wear hiddenite, which will provide a constant pulse of loving heart energy." & "Spreading Hiddenite in all directions is good for one's relationships and good for the world."

Naisha Ahsian writes: "Hiddenite is a Master Stone of the Heart. It teaches us to receive the Love of the Divine and return that love in kind, through the frequency of gratitude."

From the Heart,
Christopher Ryan

Starulite in Georgia

Hi Everyone - I just had a fantastic weekend of hunting and wanted to share some spots with you!
There is a place called the Last Resort in Blue Ridge Georgia - 515 to Maxwell Road. If you rent a cabin you can wander the grounds and find as much starulite as you wish! This is a private development full of construction workers, so I suggest renting a space instead of random wandering. I found several sharp bars and points by sorting gravel in the various streams. Larger (finger long) bars can be found along the road cuts and in new building sites! In just a few hours I found a gallon jug of starulite pieces and about 2 dozen fairy crosses of vairous orientations!
Also - South of Lafayette on 1/27 the road is being expanded and I have found lots of exciting pink and purple agates in the new road bed!
Have fun and be safe!

crystals? ... in my armpits!?! de-smellifying bizzznizz

After having made the trecherous trek into the magical crystal-laiden mountains of Lencois, i cannot help but to be intrigued by the wonderment of the crystal
Slightly obsessed and extremely curious, i recalled an old friend of mine using a crystal as deodorant... which, at the time, i thought was pretty wacky. Being the manly man that i am, i am typically a connoisuer of such de-smellifiers as oldspice or other men's deodorant, chock full of super sexy smells that make women come on to me in elevators as well as nasty chemicals - alluminium zirconium and the likes (ooh shudder).
Upon my return from SAS, i was delighted to finally be able to shop at my healthfood store instead of eating the mysterious cuisine served onboard the ship... while at the healthfood store, i met a brazilian and we talked about Lencois and crystal hunting. Suddenly, i looked up and saw a gleaming "Thai Crystal" deodorant thingie and knew it was fate (also having recently been to thailand!!)
So now i am a convert. My roomates think i am insane, but little do they know what they are missing out on. It doesn't always work as well as my ex-love oldspice, but on the whole, it is pretty rad.
i recommend it to anybody who has a crystalular affinity

I've been wanting to get back out and hunt for crystals again. i'm assuming the places I found crystals as a child are mostly likely dry now.. but more importantly I don't even know where that camp is anymore. Does anyone know any areas to go out and find some? I'm particularly interest in smoky quartz.. cheap as it may be it has a lot of personal significance. I don't over hunt, the crystals I would actually take are the ones that pique my curiosity the most so if you have a "secret" place, your secret would be safe with me.

umm.... so my posting isn't quite directly related to crystals right now, i just found another quote that i liked a lot:
""DeLiRiuM of AbsoLuTe pResEnce. How could one not find oneself wishing to Love Like This..."

that, and Tomorrow really is just an Idea..... definitly proven to me through a series of crazy events in the last like 12 hours.

Look out Lencois

I could not stop thinking of my uber bad ass Team Awesome, these past few days or so.

I just had my spring break and spent part of it in sicily. I went to the Aeolian Islands of Lipari and Vulcano. Guess what.... Vulcano is an island with a giant Volcano!! (who woulda thunkit!)

This Vulcano was rumored to be laiden with lots of red and yellow (suphuric) crystals at the summit that are super sparkly in the sun!... which was hiding all day... so sad. So i didn't find any crazy crystals this time, but i found hella rocks of bright red and yella'!!

The landscape was insane, which, although very different, also made me think of Lencois... Volcanic craters are seriously like the moon, breathing in sulphuric steam makes you cough, and seeing the ocean boil in march (or at all!) is mindblowing!

anywho, i miss you guys. You all would have gone nuts-- it was so incredible!

ciao amici

(ps... i hiked up mt etna too!!)

power staff leveling up (+1)

So this weekend was spent up in northern california chilling with Dana and my parents at home. I spent some time fixing up the power staff. For those of you who dont know, Dustin and I acquired this phenomenal piece of art from James Southey, one of the coolest dudes in Cape Town, who was carrying it that fine morning. Anyway, after a little wear and tear, the staff was beggin for some attention. I not only filled up the holes with wood filler, but i also drilled a hole in the removable piece, and slipped a sweet double terminated quartz crystal in I found in Brazil. The crystal lies beneath the lips of the face on the staff on one side, and beneath the spiral on the backside. Needless to say, the staff is back in action, and in a way, Africa and South America have been reunited once again. My dad recommended that I take the staff with me to class in order to give the professor a 'hint' about what grade i should get. Dark forces beware the power staff...and the one who wields it.

how does everyone experience crystals??? I was sitting at an awesome concert last night, seeing this group called Blackout, and started meditating with my favorite crystal. Not only did I feel some serious energy in my heart chakra and my temples, but the music seemed to change. The sounds coming from the vibraphone began to become one powerful overtone, a vibration created from dozens of individaul notes. I think that the vibrations from the crystal may have been interacting with the vibrations from the music. It was quite an experience, lets hear about your times with crystals...
