So this weekend was spent up in northern california chilling with Dana and my parents at home. I spent some time fixing up the power staff. For those of you who dont know, Dustin and I acquired this phenomenal piece of art from James Southey, one of the coolest dudes in Cape Town, who was carrying it that fine morning. Anyway, after a little wear and tear, the staff was beggin for some attention. I not only filled up the holes with wood filler, but i also drilled a hole in the removable piece, and slipped a sweet double terminated quartz crystal in I found in Brazil. The crystal lies beneath the lips of the face on the staff on one side, and beneath the spiral on the backside. Needless to say, the staff is back in action, and in a way, Africa and South America have been reunited once again. My dad recommended that I take the staff with me to class in order to give the professor a 'hint' about what grade i should get. Dark forces beware the power staff...and the one who wields it.
